Cattleya Hybrid

Home, California, MD

All my orchids seem to be coming into bloom at once so I decided to try
and get a few good shots tonight. I'd forgotten how much work they are to get right.
Additionally, I wanted to work on the remote strobe technique that Joe McNally taught at
DLWS. So this orchid was shot indoors using only an SB-600 and the internal strobe from
the D200. I have a lot to master in this area, but thanks Joe for the tips and getting
me started in the right direction.

Here is an APaD from the Wildlife Center as I work through cleaning up a hard drive:

Nikon D200 ,Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom
1/125s f/16.0 at 56.0mm iso400 -Remote SB-600 flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
