I had a nice serene sunrise this morning very similar to a couple of my previous posts.
I then sat and watched an Egret wait to catch breakfast, 1 gb later I had a couple of nice shots, one or two I may post later. But no action! The ospreys out over the water are obviously sitting on eggs, heads are down, no cackling, etc. So I packed up to leave.
I decided to stop at a different rec area on the base on the way back to the office, my convertable top was down and I had the 80-400 on just in case. As I pulled in to stop I heard the distinctive sound of a couple of ospreys, only to find they were flying right over the top of me. A couple turned out to be about eight at best count so I squirmed in the car to shoot, finally stepped out to shoot, and gig and a half later I finally made it to work. More to follow after this shot.
