Egret

The entire time I was at Gray Lodge, I'd see the egrets wading. As soon as I'd stop to get a shot, they'd take off like one.
If you've never been to Gray Lodge, there's a few ways to go about getting around. First are a series of gravel drives off the main drag leading to blinds. Next is a car loop of about 3.5 miles that encircles a large part of the park.
In either case, while driving to the blinds or along the car loop, I'd see egrets. I'd try to pass by, stop behind a growth of trees or reeds and then creep back. Turns out, I wasn't being very silent as every time I'd get back to the spot where I could see them, they were gone!
In this case, however (and believe it or don't, I had three shots left on my card!), this guy was along the car loop. He hung around just long enough for me to use those last three shots.
