Flenory Griggs was a member of the 455th AAA, A Btry. It is unknown where this photo is taken.
It is worth to mention that F. Griggs did not kill Herbert Maxis. When Maxis emergency landed he was able to jump out of the cockpit. Most likely he was wounded either by Griggs bullets or fragments...

NOTE: October 3 2010: In the meantime it has been proven that Maxis was not wounded by bullets or chips. Further it is possible and most likely that the plane was also hit by caliber .50 rounds from Tony Vittiglios gun. Tony Vittiglio at this time served for the 360 Field Artillery (95th Division).
