Most likely this picture was taken on January 1st 1945 shortly after Griggs downed the Messerschmitt. Flenory Griggs was with the 1st gun crew of 'A' Battery of the 455th AAA and fired at 'White 13' with a quad .50-cal. He received a Bronze Star from Lt. Col. Charles H. Sargent , Jr of the 455th AAA for shooting down the plane.
