L'un des plus anciens remorqueurs au Canada, le Daniel McAllister témoigne à son tour du passé commercial du Vieux-Port. Maintenant ancré dans le bassin entre les écluses 1 et 2, il a connu de longues années de service d'abord sur la côte Atlantique puis sur les Grands Lacs. Il a ensuite assisté les grands paquebots dans le port de Montréal où il a terminé sa carrière dans les années 1980.

One of the oldest tugboats in Canada,
the Daniel McAllister is also an eloquent testament to the Old Port's commercial history. Now anchored in the basin between Locks 1 and 2, this well-known workhorse served for many years first on the Atlantic coast and then on the Great Lakes. Its last assignment before being retired in the 1980's was assisting cruise ships in the Port of Montréal.
