cerco notizie su kyriat-tivon sono stato li un anno nel1975-76 avevo 10anni.sono stato in estate da maggio a settembre.prima alloggiavo nella pensione saidler..poi in una casetta.conservo un piacevole ricordo.

The pictures are terrific!! I have lived in Kiryat Amal for 16 years and consider this as my home now. Even the cows are a part of the town, as they sometimes come up to the edge of our yard. Thanks for sharing your art.

HI, I'm Ellen Applebaum I lived in Kiryat Tivon for 6 years from 2000 to 2006. On Richov HaTe'ena. If you can take a picture of Richov Hateena. I lived across the street from the Beit Kinesset and the Chabad House. My next door neighbor was Shimon- We were friends with Etty and Ruven Tzifoni - they live in Kiryat Amal Ruven used to have an electrical shop in the Mercaz. Miss you all. Beautiful photos.A long time ago ( 1980 ) I meet in Romanien(in Arad at the Airport) a very nice familly : Judit and Gherson Neumann from Tivon.Since 1982 I lived in Germany (Frankfurt )and I tryd a few time to contact them.No answer... All I know about this familly : he was born in Romanien, they had thre children (one girl,two boys ) and Judit has a kosmetik studio. Hi! I live in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada. I'm 62 years old and spent 2 years in, what was then, called Kiryat Amal. I was 5 years old when we left and have never had a chance to return. lovely photos . My family and I lived in Tivon from 70-73, we then went back to US. I felt like a tree being pulled out by it's roots when I left and I was only 10 years old. I ended up marrying my Tivon friend and making aliyah. Tivon is for me a very spiritual place and I will love it forever+ Suzi Moise Nissan

For the benefit of Zawad. who left an earlier message, and who thinks it is "a shame" that "your vilage was built on an Arab village": There is no mosque in Qiryat Tiv'on (a better spelling, by the way). If Jawad will, instead of making knee-jerk insinuations, take the trouble to actually look at the captions, he may detect that most of the pictures were taken NEAR the town -- and "near" is quite widely defined. There are in fact several mosques nearby, ALL of them in villages still inhabited by Arabs, and all, as far as I know, Muslims. Many of these men serve in the Army, many are veterans, and some of them are disabled veterans -- I, for one, am proud of them. The piictures, by the way, are beautiful. Well done!

We lived in Kiryat Tivon from 2000-2006. When we first moved there, we were told that a poll was taken throughout Israel asking which was the most desirable town to live in Israel. Tivon came in 2nd. I do not remember which town came in first. Many of the homes in Tivon were designed with fruit trees and flowers in the yards. It IS a lovely place. - Lenny A.

Actually, Jawad, what you're referring to is not a mosque but an ancient tomb, presumably of Sheikh Abrik. According to legend, he was a hired hand who toiled the fields, but his master thought he was too engaged in washing and praying, and proceeded to break his water pot ("abrik", in Arabic). The Sheikh was concerned that without being able to wash he could not pray, whereupon the shattered remains of the pot miraculously gave way to a fountainhead.
