Lofoten Island (iles Lofoten)

Situé à 200 kilomètres au nord du Cercle Polaire Arctique, l'archipel des Lofoten comprend une dizaine d'îles où vivent environ 24 000 habitants. 168 kilomètres séparent par la route le village de Fiskebol au Nord de celui de Å situé à l'extrémité Sud. Administrativement l'archipel est découpé en cinq communes, les villes principales étant Svolvær (4150 hbts) et Leknes (2050 hbts).
