Farewell

Unfortunately I had to have Katie put to sleep today.
She has been suffering from a progressive loss of mobility in her hind legs, and this morning wasn't able to stand.
Katie lived with us for over 10 years since coming from a kennels, and I like to think we gave her a loving home.
This is how I will remember her: happy, full of energy and chasing around in the snow which she loved.

Sad times. It is so hard to lose them because they become a member of the family and share so much of our lives. You are doing the best thing... remembering the good times and being thankful for the time you had.

We have been there and had to do the same. We felt terrible for along time and perhaps still even now. Wishing you all the best at this sad time. (Excellent Memory Image) V

I'm sorry to hear this Bill, but that you loved Katie well enough to do what was necessary and not allow her to suffer tells us a lot.

Ohh, I am so sorry for you.
It's good though that with animals we have that choice not to let them suffer....

Bill, I am so very sorry! I have had to do that and it is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. You gave her the best home and all the love you could and you did what was best for her in the end. Always remember the good times.
