After leaving the Knud Rasmussen glacier, we had a long and cold two-and-a-half hour trip to get back to Tasiilaq, firstly down the full length of Sermiligaq, and then out into the open ocean. We needed to refuel for the trip back, so we stopped just south of Apuserajik to pick up a 44 gallon drum of fuel that our seal hunter had arranged to be dropped by helicopter a few days previously. You may just be able to make out the red band on the drum on the patch of flat land in the middle of the picture. The two people in the picture carrying the polythene drums and siphoning hose are the seal hunter and his wife.
