This former glacier on the eastern side of Sermiligaq is called Apuserajik. On the map it is shown as extending right down into the fjord, but clearly it has retreated to a point where it should probably no longer be called a glacier. Is this just a natural cycle of nature, or is it a consequence of global warming? I’m not qualified to answer that, but it certainly looks like the latter. The chunk of blue ice floating by would probably have come from the Knud Rasmussen glacier.
