Therizinosaur_MG_2702.jpg

Merle is sitting at the spot where approximately 50 tons of tropic shale material was dug out to recover the bones of a therizinosaurus dinosaur. In his hand are two things. One is a claw. The therizinosaurus is also called the 'Sickle-claw' dinosaur for these large claws on its forelimbs. The other less conspicuous bone is one of it's knuckle bones and is the first bone to be discovered in this particular find.
