Back Acres hybrid

Lee (1958): single, center a somewhat star-shaped area of white, bordered with a color between rose doree [deep yellowish pink] and peach red [moderate reddish orange]. Blotch area not showy. The white center often does not appear until the plant has its mature form with masses of twiggy branches. Diameter 3" to 3.5". Late midseason.

Galle (1987): deep yellowish pink washed with moderate reddish orange, blotches are purplish red, white center, 2.75-3"; 4' in 10 years.

IRRC (2004): single, 2.75-3" wide, rose doree washed with peach red, spots inconspicuous making a tyrian rose [vivid purplish red] tone in the blotch area, centre white, usually starry, but not consistent in appearance. Shrub 4' in 10 years. Late.
