To Mayberry and Beyond

I took my first road trip on my new HD Electra Glide to Mayberry and beyond. 750 miles of riding through Mount Airy, NC to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the back roads of SW Virginia. If anyone is a fan of the Andy Griffith show, it was based loosely on his life in Mount Airy North Carolina and the surrounding area. Mount Airy is a beautiful town but the references to "Mayberry" get old quickly somewhere between Aunt Bee's BBQ and Barney Burgers.
