Second attempt at noise comparison between s90 and G9.

I chose hand-held because 99% or more of the time, that's how I shoot. I tried to frame each shot as similarly as I could for each comparison-pair. That's not precise because each camera has a toggle zoom. Mildly photoshopped originals are presented in this gallery.

Each image was opened in ACR, then a small rectangular portion was selected from each image. Each such crop was expanded to 6" by 6" and reduced to 72 dpi, then converted to jpg and - for the crops - written at jpg-maximum. No other processing of the crops was attempted for generating the comparison images.

If the are images too small on your screen, use "control +" (on MS & Linux machines) to make each image appear larger.
