CAP102.0 Sum11 Two Faces Have I

Design Intent:
To explore the surfaces of a human face through lines and planes
To create a full scale and three dimensional model of a human face
To discover the form making of two different materials

Design parameters:
The Model:
A) to build a “wire” frame mask of a face (front elevation) (scale 1=1)
B) to build a “museum board” planar mask of a face (front elevation) (scale 1=1)
C) to place them back to back as a final model composition

The Graphics:
A) one continuous line sketch of the line face (front elevation)
B) one planar drawing of the plane face (isometric)
C) series of process sketches or models
D) overall graphic board (11x17), vertical composition

The Subject:
A) each student will be utilizing another student's face as a study model
B) the studio faculty will organize the process of selection of the study model
