Makai Pier Renovation and Installation
by Clarence Silva
This is one heck of a great use of Art in the Public Eye. Joyful, colorful and proud. The employees of AQ seem to be the most affected by this project. Beaming... Please try to make a point of getting to the Makai Pier to see this Gallery. These pictures hardly do it justice.
This was one of the most difficult and demanding of installations we've ever had.
And the most rewarding..
The panels are 1/2 MDO-particle board (Very Heavy)
They are attached by way of cleats (French and spiked) and are in relief of the walls by 3/4".
Our heartfelt thanks to Stu, the Executives of AQ, Stephanie, Tom; the HNL Station Crew: Devin, Kevin, Nick, Billy, Justin, and the entire 'ohana of AQ.
The staff at Fleet Street.
