Make of this what you will!! - This image emerged from continued experimentation in our camera clubhouse rather than from a carefully conceived plan. The silhouetted articles were laid up against a large sheet of architects tracing paper which we had attached to a wooden frame. Then a slide projector was set up behind all of this with a dual coloured filter held in front of the projector light. Another member held the red filter that you see to add even more colour. The camera was then set up on the other side of the wooden frame. I was wondering how it might fare in competition. A judge might well have wondered what it was all about - I did too! Anyway it’s success was very enjoyable for me. In May 1991 our club took part in the Irish Photographic Federation’s National Finals and this image was awarded the Gold Medal for the Best Colour Print in the final.
