Hämppi Park Hall in Tampere has got a lot of international praise, recognition and awards.
It's the European Parking Association Award Winner 2013 - The best new park in a special cave environment.
Parking hall was awarded for the best interior lighting, too.
It has got an expressive lighting, which is substantially different from the parking garages.
In 2007 directly beneath the main street in the city centre in close
proximity to the shopping malls and office buildings, 30 meters below the town a 650 meter long,
32 meter wide and 10 meter high tunnel was cut in the hardest of rock, providing space
for almost a thousand vehicles.
Hämppi Park was opened in November 2012.
I was so lucky to take my images late on a Sunday night, when there was only a few cars.
The lightning changes all the time. All variations of green, blue, red...
with a beautiful music playing in the background. Loved also the formations of the rock as seen in this image.
Felt like visiting an art exhibition! Truly a magical place to shoot!
