Shaffer Family Portrait

home studio

This is a "piece-meal" portrait. I was trying to get my crowd to cooperate while I was shooting 3 generations of family portraits. Naturally, my two little ones were not inclined to cooperate. All 4 images were taken from different shots and combined in PS 7. My sister-in-law, Angie, let me rope her into shooting some shots of me. ;)

In the original 4 images, Mark was holding a very tired, unhappy, screaming, wriggling Thomas. I replaced Thomas's head with the head portion of another image (an image in which *I* was holding the baby and my sister-in-law was handling the camera). Kayla's image was taken while she was whirling around and around on the swiveling posing stool. Sometimes, you just have to catch what you can. ;) It worked out nicely that Kayla's hand was positioned on her leg in one of the original images, so I just "photoshopped" it into place on top of her dad's hands.

Many thanks to "Fergie" because there is no way this image would have been possible without her able help! :)

Nikon D70 ,d70 kit lens
VERY heavily "photoshopped". full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Angie this is terrific, I love the black background, it really draws the eye to the faces. Wonderful family portrait :) Niecy
