Simple, effective, clean and complementary. Yellow, orange, blue, white and black ! Each has its place and its partner. Can't say much more than what Phil has already said ... damn ... ;-)
****This is the fourth image in your 14 picture essay, Jen. It is one of your simplest, cleanest images, ever -- a masterwork of form and content. It talks of strength and balance -- two keys to bridge design. You have amazingly distilled the nature of this complex structure into just three simple lines, each rich in color, texture and meaning. You make it work as pure geometry within the frame by giving us a simple rectangle featuring three powerful diagonal lines against a rich blue sky filled with soft white clouds. I gasped when I saw this, Jen, and when I saw how it fit into this essay, between two other images that featured the curving sweep of the cable supports themselves, I gasped again. This is pure genius, Jen. It worked brilliantly by itself, and becomes far more expressive in its role within this essay. And that is the great strength of the essay form, Jen -- cumulative meaning. Each image, as good as it is, subordinates itself to the end product -- an interpretation of what this structure is and what it represents.
