In a fit of nostalgia, I found a photo taken of some of us (from a large group) with our choral Grammy
for the Orff "Carmina Burana" in 1992. This was for "Best Performance of a Choral Work" in the
35th annual Grammy awards, with the San Francisco Symphony directed by Herbert Blomstedt and
prepared by Vance George. There were over 200 people singing, including the SF Boy's Chorus.
Since I was a charter member (1972) I've got a banner on me :-). Third person in middle row.
If interested, you can hear snippets at this page
SIDE note: We watched the awards show on TV, and our chorus director collected the award
in between speeches by Eric Clapton, winner of Best Song, and Michael Jackson, who
gave an odd 20 minute speech. Placido Domingo presented the award to our leader.
