We were concentrating on historical Turkey, in the southeast,
so the pictures will show less trees (see Black Sea for that).
We came upon huge, beautiful forests of them when starting an
alternate route to Antalya (instead of the sea coast we wound
up taking) and that was beautiful but not tourist-areas as
there were no ruins (seeable).

Yes, interesting, It seems rather dry and arid in Turkey, with few large trees.
