Highlights of the Java tour (volcanos and temples):

- Mount Bromo is literally a crater within an enormous outer crater, with a rugged lava landscape epitomised by rock formations amidst a 'sea of sand'. The volcano still continually emits puffs of sulphurous steam. Arriving at the crater rim in time for sunrise is spectacular experience. From here we look across to Mount Bromo (2581m), and if the weather is clear, the majestic peak of the majestic Mount Semeru (3676m) - the highest peak in Java.
