Metallic Starling

The light plumage on the chest indicates this is a juvenile, born last year.
When it reaches adulthood the plumage becomes green-glossed black all over. Males and females look alike.


It is native of New Guinea and nearby Australasian islands, and a limited area of northeastern Australia.
