July 4

Perpetual Change

The first gray and cool 4th of July since I moved here 12 years ago.
Also the first 4th without fireworks at a nearby lake which we used to watch from the backyard.
And the first 4th without a big party here. Reminded me of the song below.
I must say I enjoyed this quiet holiday. The photo was taken in our backyard.

You did find some splashes of color in your light; the purple is grand next to the Monarch! I see you took the change in stride : )
