A very dangerous beauty!
The Lionfish originates in the Western Pacific ocean regions.Then it progressed to cover all of the Pacific ocean ... and about 15 years ago, it found its way in the Caribbean. It is quite dangerous as at the end of each barb is a very poisonous dart hock, the poison being similar to that of a rattlesnake.It was probably released from an aquarium during an hurricaine ... so much as the Python has taken over the Everglades in Florida, the Lionfish is taking the Caribbean. The next fear for the caribbean is for the sea snakes (the most poisonous snakes in the world) to find their way there as well, which is only a matter of time before it does.There you go, man playing with nature ... again.
