Tate Modern is one of the four Tate galleries. It displays the national collection of international modern art since 1900. This includes important works by Picasso, Matisse, Dalí, Ernst, Pollock and Warhol.
Tate Modern was created in the year 2000 in the building, after a major conversion project, which was the former Bankside power station that had closed in 1982.
