India on the move

My visit to India in November/December 2007 was short and packed with commitments. India is such a colourful and interesting place I could not miss the opportunity of studying what I saw through my camera.

Many of the photographs in these galleries were taken as quickly as a fleeting glace from a moving car. I have named this technique as "mobile photojournalism". Many of the people and places were taken from a moving car. Others were photographed with very little time to stop and study. On some occasions I was able to stop and soak in the people around me. I learned to anticipate what might be in frame and select shutter speeds and aperture appropriate to catch the moving image. This technique gives new meaning to "point and shoot".

I fell in love with India again. I hope you do too.

I look forward to a return visit soon.

Some of these images will also appear in various themed galleries elsewhere in my Pbase collection.
