This and the previous image are a World War II vintage Sunderland flying boat converted to civilian use. These beautiful aircraft serviced Lord Howe Island until mid 1974.

Great photo from days by gone. The only flying boat I saw was in Oakland air museum, California. Thanks for sharing.

What a fabulous find. I have always had a thing for flying boats. Do you know per chance if this one is still around anywhere? Maybe in a museum? Great image.
