Beached...

Kaanapali Area - Hanako's Beach Park
Not hard to be awe -struck on the numerous beaches
we visited in Maui during our stay. Still building this gallery
on the few days I have left from our stay.

Frangipiani - Plumeria Rubra
Because Hawaii is such a tropical paradise for plants, many of the non-native
plants brought here have gone wild, and a number of them have become seriously
invasive. A few introduced plant species were brought here by the ancient Polynesians
in their canoes, while the rest, including many food plants, forage crops, forestry
trees, exotic tropical flowers, former houseplants, and accidental weeds were brought
here more recently from many different places around the World.
Thank-you again for all of your support and comments! I will
be away for one week travelling back to Ontario for family
events.

A Rural Scene...

Haelkula Hwy, Maui
I couldn't resist pulling over at the side
of the road to capture this scene. Coming from
a long winter back home the abundance of green
foliage was the drawing card!

Secret Cove

If you're adventurous you can find Pa'ako Beach but
they don't make it very easy. With warning signs not to proceed on the road,
Pa'ako beach access is virtually a hole in a wall hidden behind the barrier. The
local photographers know its secret location and have used it bon occasion to
capture wedding photos...
