After breakfast we went to meet our tour guide and the pair of sisters that we would be spending the day with. Our first stop was the Margaret River itself, and a chance to paddle some canoes down the river. I am clearly recognisable the photographs that you will never see, because I'm the only one wearing a life vest which, given my antipathy toward the water should come as no surprise to you.
It was in fact overcast and drizzling on this particular morning, but nobody really cared. Looking at this shot you might think the trees that lined the banks were intimidating, but on the contrary the river seemed a most welcoming place.
