A rather different sight by day, there's a certain... if not actually menace, certainly eeriness to a suburban park before the sun comes up. The park lamps provide circles of light, interspersed with areas of relative darkness.
In this case I've elected not to include the lamp itself, but certainly the glow from it in the top right. It could be argued that it's somewhat distracting, certainly more so than in my shot of the Anzac Bridge sculpture since the light in that one wasn't pure white. However I wanted to make it clear that the light was both artificial and "island like" in its scope rather than having the tree appear to be lit "by magic". This is to some extent echoed by the light that can be seen between the two foreground trees.
