The bridge has been boarded up and the Mk 13 missile launcher has been removed. If you look closely you can still see a painted red ring around where the missile launcher was. If I recall correctly (and even though it was many years ago I'm sure that I do since I was quite tickled by it), when I stood on that deck I saw the words "Safe Side" on the outer edge of that ring, and "Suicide" on the inner edge. I'd love to have been able to see whether that was still there. These days I'm sure that Occupational Health and Safety types would have a cow over such a thing since safety is A Very Serious Business. Very Serious Indeed. And humour has no place in getting a message across.
