First record for Ecuador! Amazingly this bird was in the same tree as I found a Philadelphia Vireo four years ago, also a first record for Ecuador!
The bird was around the first pond and I first heard it calling and didn't recognize the call. I did find the owner of the call and saw that it was a vireo but it looked very dull. It sub-sang a little in-between the calls and I soon started to think Warbling Vireo. When I played the call it came right in and hoped about above allowing for pictures and good looks.
