The aim of this gallery is to market my pictures to a wide audience. It is also to give visitors an idea of the great diversity this small country has to offer and that is why some images of rather poor quality have been included.
As of early december 2008 these galleries have pictures of 420 species all taken in Ecuador. Mainland Ecuador and Galapagos have 456 species.
Enjoy!
Great eye! Thanks for the beautiful pictures of the birds of Ecuador. We are waiting for the pictures of the Galápagos birds, especially Darwin’s Finches. Thanks for helping us find them all on our visit to the Galápagos. Más vale pájaro en mano que cien volando. ˇGracias Roger!
Great galleries Roger. I have looked through them all now, and they bring back great memories of our trip. Also makes me realize just how much we didn't see! I want to come back!

What a marvelous collection of bird photos, and in particular those of the tanagers and the hummingbirds. It's an orgy of beautiful birds. How is it possible that one could find so many beautiful birds in one small country. Thanks for presenting us the opportunity to see these photos.
