This image was made in the middle of winter in Hokkaido, Japan at the historical village complex, an open air museum near Sapporo. I took a sequence of 3 shots of this woman walking towards me at the onset of a snow storm. The red blanket in the seemingly monochrome surrounding is so striking. She noticed me as she walked slowly and kept on walking. The image of her closing the eyes, bundling herself up in the red blanket while braving the storm, ended up being my choice of conveying the gloomy mood.
