The real traditional set uses small sea sheels. Seven sea shells in each hole on each side, leaving the two larger, home holes on the edge empty. Two players start at the same time by grabbing the sea shells and putting one each in the hole next to your left, including your larger home hole to your left but skipping the home hole of your opponent. If your last sea shell ends up in an empty hole, you loose your turn. The same goes with your opponent. Who has the most sea shell in his/her home hole wins the game.
