U can cut the dark part at the bottom completely. Moreover, u can also leave more space in front of the Convention Centre next time and see the difference.

This image is so good it makes me feel home sick. The darkened foreground nicely frames the subject buildings, while heightening the drama between the city's busy night lights and its sleepy residents.
