Magpie



I'm not usually very comfortable taking photos of birds but this visitor to the

garden looked so smart I couldn't resist. I think that there is a bit of his beak in

focus...perhaps :)

The only animal where I can remember the Latin name is the magpie - pica pica :-)
I have a weak spot for b/w animals (orcas, penguins, pandas - you get the idea) and I love the magpie. Especially when the sun shines on its plumage.
