These are abundantly found in the lowlands of Sabah and may easily be mistaken for Temminck's Sunbirds
that are more predominant in the highlands but are known to also exist in small localised groups in lowlands.
The tails of the Eastern Crimson Sunbirds - Male has a blue tail whereas that of the Temminck's Sunbird has
a red one. In addition the crown of the Eastern Crimson Sunbird has a crown of purple but the Temminck's is
streaked purple.
