...For my reference. This is the original 2 liter engine and 901 gearbox that came out of my factory 914-6. Bernie did me a favor by picking the engine and gearbox and taking it to his shop saving me on the transportation fees.

My plan is to use what ever parts I may need from this original 914-6 engine, possibly using the Magnesium crankcase (numbers matching to my chassis 914.043.1722) as the basis for the 906 engine later plan to build. We will also use the fan and housing and engine sheet-metal, probably not much else. The rest of the parts for the engine build are mostly NOS factory original 906 parts; crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, 906 twin-plug heads, 906 pistons and cylinders, 906 center lube camshafts, 906 Magnesium Cam Housings, 906 Magnesium Intakes, early 46 WEBERS.
