Bernie and I discussed that this https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/159849765 is NOT the correct 911 exhaust tip (1974?). It appears that this exhaust tip was made out of Aluminum (not magnetic) and the rolled-tip and indentations in the body of the exhaust tip were not present on the part used by the Porsche factory to mount the VDO GT fuel gauge in 1970.

We will need to search for an early exhaust tip off a 911.
