NP 06/03/2017 - Parts Picked-Up by Serrano

In order to finally get the car ready for paint, Freddy Hernandez of Vintage Auto Restorations was accommodating and agreed to fly-up to Fall City, WA to meet with me, inspect the GT and provide us a quote.

After a lengthy discussion, we all agreed it was best to first bring the GT back down to California so Mark Spraker and I could complete all the critical fabrication work since I was more familiar with the needed modifications. It was quite the list (and I was thinking earlier we were ready for paint!) LOL. The pending work included; install of the 917 Gearbox Oil Cooler (at rear trunk), 914-6 GT Rally Brake mechanism (using 911 M Calipers at rear, very unique!), Center Tunnel Clutch-Cable Reinforcements, GT Front Oil-Cooler and Metal Shroud install, pre-install Heinzmann Fire Extinguisher, Align and center the 100 Liter GT fuel tank, cut a large hole on bonnet for the BLAU Cap fuel filler (you only get one try at this so you better get it right!), install of the front hood safety pins, install of the rear hood tie-down rubber-straps, install of the rear emblems, etc. And again, we just weren't ready.

Along with the car, below are the photos of the parts I brought with me back down to California to complete this very important and final fabrication phase of the GT project.
