Well, its now been 2 years since I/Armando last wrote about my car.
It is not an M471 nor a GT. Its just a late '71 -6 from Germany w/ upgraded parts & mecanicals. 2.7L RS 'spec'- w/MFI (019 pump), steel flares, orig Fuchs 7's & 8's, no side marker lights, US DOT/VIN stamped plate rivetted to A-pillar, 'S' oil cooler thermostat w/ oil cooler and lines.
Restoration has been on going. Significant restoration. Large amounts of rust repairs almost finished. Done by Mark DeB @ Original Customs. -- pretty amazing stuff!

Since the orig motor & some parts are not with the car, I am considering modifying the car within close originality, but making fit both street & open-tracking. Old roll cage removed...poor install-not safe/functional. Motor & trans to be gone thru, LSD installed, gearing checked/replaced all by RMG in Sunnyvale. Brakes, both front & rear, are being done my Eric Shea as I write. Orig Fuchs are done - period correct -- Harvey Weidman up to speed + more.
Body work & paint, (& frame straightening check) to be done, and all the usual/conservative details getting attention. Paint color is a big ? for me. Its a different color now: change it or return to orig Metalic Silver? Since total originality has changed, not sure if silver is for me or the way to go.
