VEHICLE DESCRIPTION BY THE eBay SELLER: 1970 PORSCHE 914-6. This is a very clean California blue plate car. The original motor was rebuilt by Gary Dielacher of GD Racing in San Bruno, CA and has less than 5,000 on it. The PO told me that they used early '67/'68 911 2.0L pistons which have a higher compression than the stock T pistons and it also has a dual center exit sport muffler. The result is a very streetable, but strong running, 914. Sounds great too! The transmission was replaced with a side shifter unit and goes thru the gears with little effort and no gear grinding. The struts are Koni adjustables. I have driven many 914-6's, and this one rates up towards the top of the list for it's solid feel and quick, well balanced, acceleration.

The exterior of the car is in great shape. The paint still has good shine, but has it's share of small nicks. There is also a dent in the passenger front fender from the San Fransisco earthquake. It can be easily taken out by a paintless dent guy, but does have a bit of novelty to leaving it alone. The door bottoms, longs, hell hole, and front/rear trunks do not have anything other than the slightest occasional,and minimal, surface rust. The front and rear chrome bumpers are correct 914-6 items without dents and the rubber toppers are in almost perfect condition. European lenses and a San Fran PCA engine grill badge stay with the car. The pictures are with 7x15 wheels. I would prefer to not include these in the sale. They are 65 series tires and the rears rub on the inner fender lip. Correct 14" Fuchs will be installed for delivery unless the buyer tells me otherwise - in writing.

The interior is really nice. The vinyl interior components are a mixture of '70 and '71 items. The original type steering wheel has a early center horn button from a 911 and looks like an R racing wheel. There is a small VDO underdash guage cluster w/ oil pressure, temp., and a clock. The sunvisors and targa top are in excellent condition.

I have tried to describe this car accurately. It is always best to inspect the car in person as everyone has their own ideas on what is acceptable. I also recommend getting a PPI on any used Porsche. I will help in delivering the car to a mechanic of your choice, but the inspection will be done at the buyers expense and must be completed prior to the end of the auction.
