Here is a short photo sequence of how I removed the front windshield of my 914. The process took me about 45 minutes from start to finish, but I do recommend that you go slowly taking 'your' time and trying not to bend the very delicate Aluminum moulding.
The only tools I used is what you see in my hands https://pbase.com/image/87295964 both have a sharp-edge but one is much longer (spreads the load-pressure) and being made from plastic, is a whole lot more forgiving flexing to the curvature of the glass.
Here we see the little plastic clips https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/87295946 that hold the Aluminum trim in place. This is what the back of the Aluminum trim looks like https://pbase.com/image/87366996 and how it's held in place by the small plastic clips. Having a visual of what is keeping it all together when you're trying to pry things apart, certainly does help to minimize damage.
Good luck, now take a look...
