Weber 46 IDA Carburetors...

These photos show both the "early" (Italy) and "later" (Carter U.S.A.) castings 46mm IDA WEBER carburetors. The 914-6 GT used the "early-casting" with the vent-screen instead of the vent-tube type breathers, a subsequent improvement.

Incidentally, the way to tell which is the "early" or "later" casting? The WEBER carburetors has a large "EW" logo https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/32229704 and say "Made in Italy" (duh!) while the "later" Carter castings have a single "W" instead https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/23467385 (they are not as desirable)

None of these 46mm WEBER carburators are for sale. They belong to our customers and are there to be rebuilt. The photograph was posted simply because it was an interesting shot. Anything available "For Sale" will be listed here onlyhttp://www.pbase.com/9146gt/for_sale

Hello "Guest", Rain-Shields are "Rain-Shields" and Carburator-Tables are "Carburator-Tables", there is a difference but you have it the other way around. Please reference the last photograph in this gallery. ;)
