I've recently purchased a 1971 Porsche 914-6 and it appears to have a leaking rear caliper. I was going to rebuild all of them, but have a few questions. #1 - Are the pistons readily available? #2 - Are they the same calipers as other Porsche models? #3 - Is there a period correct upgrade that's not ridiculously expensive that you could recommend. Looks like the 911s alloy calipers (used on the GT?) would be ideal, but wondered about how complicated it will be to mount them. I have a set of 16x6 Fuchs I was planning on putting on the car so I don't think clearance will be an issue.

Hi Eric, those are easily made or reproduced by simply obtaining the proper diameter rod, bending the rod at both ends, cut the threads with a die, weld a flat-washer at each end, shape the weld nicely, zinc-plate and you're ready to go! Hope this helps...

I was wondering where one might obtain the "U" shaped upper shoulder harness anchors which bolt throught the firewall on all GT's that I've seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Eric
