PN:BEHR Front Mounted Oil-Cooler as used in the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 Liter race car. The same oil cooler designed was previously used in the 914-6 GT but those did not have the mounting brackets at either end https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/22342213. Having said that, the 914-6 GT inherited its front oil cooler from the 906, Carrera 6 and there weren't any mounting tabs welded to the 906 oil cooler either https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/153200359. The bigger difference between the 906 and 914-6 GT front oil coolers was their respective sand-cast end-caps. On the 906 front cooler, where the two oil lines connect, those are oriented towards the driver/passenger when installed. With the 914-6 GT and the 73' RSR, the sand-cast end-caps are exactly the same--with both pointing towards the side when installed.
This 73' RSR BEHR front oil-cooler has a production manufacturing date of 1973https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/23120403
